Prioritize Windows room and VDI inventories: move Zoom Rooms to 7.1.7 or later, VDI clients to 7.0.13 or later, and Workplace clients to the fixed 7.2.0 or 7.1.9 branch. Confirm each room image rather than assuming account-level controls remediate the installed client.

The attacker needs meeting access but the victim does not need to click or download anything. Zoom's server-side filter protects standard meetings, not end-to-end encrypted meetings, so version verification matters more than relying on the mitigation.

This is not an unauthenticated remote takeover, but it can turn an initial device compromise into full control. Fleet owners should verify versions in Poly Lens and prioritize shared or physically exposed devices.

This is a collaboration-infrastructure compromise path, not a room-appliance bug. Self-hosted and high-assurance estates should treat version verification as an immediate security action and confirm whether the service is externally reachable.

This is not a room-endpoint flaw, but the AV/VC control plane depends on the enterprise network. Treat it as an infrastructure dependency, not a reason to emergency-patch room devices.

The exploit depends on social engineering and is not a room takeover path. Still, high-assurance environments should confirm service remediation and reinforce approved-link controls.

Independent certification materially strengthens procurement evidence, particularly in Europe and regulated sectors. It is product/version-specific and should not be generalized to the entire portfolio.

Default credentials and unrestricted physical resets are material room-appliance risks. Administrators should deploy the release, escrow the new credentials and reset PIN, and confirm recovery procedures; the vendor describes security hardening rather than a disclosed exploitable vulnerability.

The issue affects room endpoints regardless of configuration and does not require a user to accept the invitation. There is no workaround. Administrators should move on-premises RoomOS 11 devices to 11.27.5.0 or 11.32.3.0 or later, and confirm that cloud-aware devices have received Cisco's fixed October or November 2025 RoomOS builds.

Inventory any retained or isolated Zoom Rooms clients and verify version 6.5.1 or later across every platform. Current fleets should already exceed that baseline, but legacy images, spares and restricted networks should be checked rather than assumed safe.

Check whether SIP media component logging is enabled, restrict access to device and Webex Cloud logs, and move vulnerable RoomOS 11 systems to 11.32.2.1 or later; cloud-aware systems require RoomOS July 2025 or later. Cisco lists no workaround and no known exploitation.
